Royal Philips pays $2.1bn for Spectranetics
In an effort to strengthen its image-guided therapy business, Royal Philips Electronics NV is paying $38.50 per share (a 28% premium) to acquire fellow public device maker Spectranetics Corp. The deal is valued at $2.1bn including cash and the assumption of debt obligations.
