Large, national hospital groups are supposed to be hostile to technological innovation because long-term agreements with market leaders discourages new and small companies from making headway in the marketplace. But now the largest hospital alliance, Premier, has created a new program to promote innovative technology. The question is, can it be a truly unbiased force for technological advance?
