EUreka – Bringing Physicians Into The Fold
Executive Summary
As Medtronic executives mulled different options for encouraging and sourcing new technology within Europe, they came to believe that incubators like MD Start address only part of the equation. In 2009, Medtronic launched EUreka. EUreka is a web-based portal designed to bring physicans’ ideas into Medtronic and create around that a timely, efficient process by which those ideas are evaluated and either taken on by the company or sent elsewhere for development.
