Because low-incidence tumors present recruitment challenges and have lower commercial potential than high-incidence ones, they receive less attention from drug developers; meanwhile, new therapies for high-incidence tumors must demonstrate higher efficacy than therapeutic alternatives in order to differentiate themselves.
