Executive Summary

U.S. market launch of Collagraft bone graft matrix strip by Zimmer, which holds domestic and Asian marketing rights, is planned at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons meeting in New Orleans Feb. 24-28 following recent FDA approval of the product. Shipments are expected to begin "after March 1." The "premixed, freeze-dried" strips will be priced "slightly higher" than the first generation Collagraft implant paste, which requires mixing and refrigeration. Both products are approved for treatment of acute long bone fractures and traumatic osseous defects
