Executive Summary

Public Health Service task force sends its report making recommendations for research on silicone gel-filled breast implants to Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health D. A. Henderson. Results of the report will be presented to HHS' Committee to Coordinate Environmental Health and Related Topics at a closed meeting on Feb. 15. The task force was formed in March 1992 during the controversy over the safety of silicone breast implants ("The Gray Sheet" March 2, 1992, p. 5)
