Trilogy DR pacemaker study gets underway with the first implantation of the device in Zurich, Switzerland on Oct. 14. Developed by St. Jude's Pacesetter business, the Trilogy DR "automatically and intelligently [adapts] many of its settings based on information it collects and analyzes about the patient's heart and the heart's interaction with the pacing system," the company says. The company filed an investigational device exemption for the trilogy DR in May; U.S. clinicals are expected to begin in early 1995
