Mallinckrodt's acquisition of respiratory products company Nellcor Puritan Bennett last August added one month of sales to the company's health care business in the first quarter, turning a potential revenue decline into a 14% increase. Health care sales for the three months ended Sept. 30 were $411.1 mil., up from $361.7 mil. a year ago, Mallinckrodt reported.
