CMS will not start paying for durable medical equipment under its new competitive bidding program until July 1, 2008 (instead of April 1), the agency announces July 27. Supplier bids for the program's first round will now be accepted until Aug. 27, and the accreditation deadline is Oct. 31 (1"The Gray Sheet" April 9, 2007, p. 3)...
