Orthocrat enlists WebOps to develop ortho implant templating tech

This article was originally published in Clinica

Executive Summary

Orthopaedic digital templating specialist Orthocrat has partnered with WebOps Mobile, an online service that specialises in helping medical device companies to enhance their supply and service chains. The deal sees Tel Aviv, Israel-based Orthocrat integrate its TraumaCad digital templating technology into WebOps' online server to provide surgeons, technicians and medical device suppliers with real-time electronic access to X-rays and orthopaedic data, using a wireless handheld device. The combined technologies will speed up implant delivery to hospital operating rooms. According to Orthocrat, the TraumaCad allows surgeons to measure implant sizes from digital images, resulting in more efficient pre-operative surgery plans. TraumaCad has an installed base of 700 units in hospitals, research centres and clinics throughout the US, Europe and Israel. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
