CooperVision, the contact lens arm of the Cooper Companies, has established a sales force in Shanghai, China, as part of the company's strategy to tap the growing eyecare market in the Asia-Pacific region. Over the past four years, CooperVision (Pleasanton, California) has opened direct sales offices in South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan. The Chinese market is claimed by CooperVision to be worth $85m with a growth rate of around 9% per year.
