ConvaTec, a subsidiary of Bristol-Myers Squibb that specialises in ostomy and wound care products, has launched ConvaTec Moldable Technology in the US. The technology is a skin barrier designed to aid ostomy patients by offering improved protection of the skin surrounding the stoma. The product enables patients to custom-fit their ostomy appliance to the shape of their stoma, says Skillman, New Jersey-based ConvaTec. It will be available in four sizes in the US and Europe within the next several months.
