Natus Medical has gained Japanese approval to sell its handheld device for screening hearing in newborns. The ALGO 3i device screens both ears simultaneously. It also incorporates data management capabilities and a Japanese language user interface. Japan represents the second largest market for the product, notes the San Carlos, California firm.
