Very early-stage medtech firms have been given a leg up in the Oxford area of the UK thanks to the establishment of a new business angel network by Oxford Innovation. The provider of services to the knowledge-based economy has set up Oxford Early Investments to help innovative local firms raise investment capital of up to £150,000 ($280,000) to fund initial technical and commercial development.
