Executive Summary
IGEN International has settled ongoing litigation with Japanese company Hitachi, in which IGEN claimed Hitachi's manufacturing of the Elecsys 2010 instrument in Japan for Roche Diagnostics was beyond the licence IGEN had granted to Roche. Earlier this year, the US district court confirmed IGEN's right to terminate its licence agreement with Roche over IGEN's Origen electro-chemiluminescence technology, once the final judgement is affirmed (see Clinica No 991, p 13).
