The continued use of dry wound dressings for outpatients in Germany is not only behind the times but also a false economy. That was the view of the national industry association, BVMed, when asked by the government to highlight an area in need of action in the German healthcare sector. The initiative, conducted by the Ministry of Health's Sachverstandigenrat (expert committee), is part of an ongoing survey by the ministry into areas where patient care may be seen as falling short.
