First quarter 1996 consumer health care sales were up due to "significant" prestocking of Rogaine hair regrowth treatment and Nicorette smoking cessation gum in preparation of their OTC launches in the second quarter last year, Pharmacia & Upjohn said April 29. P&U manufactures Nicorette and markets it abroad; the product is marketed by SmithKline Beecham in the U.S.
