Fuisz Technologies: Chantilly, Va.-based drug delivery developer acquires Pangea, a Roswell, Ga.-based direct-to-consumer distributor of nutritional supplements and skin care products, Fuisz announced May 21. Terms were not disclosed. The acquisition of the privately-held company, with its national network of approximately 2,000 distributors, "advances Fuisz' strategy to widen" its distribution network, the firm says. The first Fuisz product to be marketed by the Pangea sales force will be a chewy calcium supplement, scheduled to be introduced in late September.
