Executive Summary
Link between fragrance and wellbeing is "most credible" in countries that put function before pleasure, such as the U.S., UK and Germany, while in Spain, link is "seen as pertaining to the realm of medicine," according to preliminary results of a study commissioned by the Fragrance Foundation. Survey by Parisian consulting firm Worlding is being undertaken to determine consumer perceptions of fragrance in France, Italy, Spain, Germany, UK, Japan and U.S., Fragrance Foundation says. Final results will be revealed at Global Symposium: Well-Being, Aroma-Chology and the Future of Fragrance, which will be held in Paris Oct. 17.
