Parlux Fragrances to launch first Ocean Pacific fragrance in department stores worldwide in March 2001 under a licensing deal with the lifestyle apparel company. First-year sales are expected to reach $20 mil., Parlux said. The deal affords Parlux an entry into the Generation Y market with the opportunity to develop a fun, beach-oriented brand. Ocean Pacific said it was drawn to Parlux' "modern 'out of the box' thinking." Parlux also is looking at other, undisclosed licensing agreements. The company holds the rights to market fragrances under the Perry Ellis and Fred Hayman Beverly Hills brands and is introducing Perry Ellis Portfolio (1see related story, p. 8)
