Battery manufacturer's blade and razor division sales grew 68% to $214.9 mil. in the fiscal second quarter (ended March 31) on a pro-forma basis, with profits jumping to $30 mil. from a $12.3 mil. operating loss a year ago. Improved results were driven by Schick Quattro and Intuition shaving systems, although the newer products negatively impacted other Schick product sales, according to Energizer. Firm expects its razor division will face more challenging year-over-year comparisons going forward as it anniversaries new product launches.
