The U.S. market for sun care products grew 15% between 2001 and 2006, yet constant pricing exhibited zero growth, according to Dublin-based market research firm Research and Markets. "While there has been healthy growth in the sunless tanner segment, sales of tanning lotion and oils have not been as robust, while after-sun product has declined 20% in constant prices from 2001-06," firm notes. Data is included in a new report, which also "reveals the attitudes, needs and behavior of consumers," with analysis broken down by demographic characteristics and segment, company says.
