Firm announces April 12 that it has fully acquired professional salon distributor Beauty Alliance in an effort to strengthen its U.S. professional hair-care business; L'Oreal acquired a 30% minority interest in the distributor in July. Beauty Alliance, which comprises 870 distributor sales consultants and 400 professional outlets selling to 125,000 salons, will operate as a separate unit within L'Oréal's professional products division.
