Executive Summary

China's National Development and Reform Commission recently announced that it has received the State Council's approval for its proposed bill of determining function, organization structure and staff allocation. In future, NDRC will reduce the responsibilities of its involvement in micro-administration and assessment of specific projects. Meanwhile, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic China will undertake NDRC's current portfolio of industry and information management.
