China health authorities have drafted a regulation that would require all of the nation's students and employees in certain industries to undergo screening for tuberculosis. The Ministry of Health proposal would amend China's TB Prevention and Control regulation to cover the expanded requirement. The workers subject to mandatory screening would be those in sectors related to prevention and treatment of the disease, as well as food, drugs, cosmetics, teaching, dairy and anyone in contact with dust and harmful gases.
