Executive Summary
GenPharm International's European operation (biomedical proteins for humans from the milk of transgenic dairy cows) has been spun off as an independent company called Pharming BV; the unit had previously been known as Gene Pharming Europe. The company concurrently raised about $12mm from institutional investors in Europe, the US, and elsewhere in what is assumed to be its Series A round.
