Executive Summary
UCB purchased Fujirebio's pharmaceutical division, which had FY1999 sales of about $60mm. It will be folded into UCB Japan, the Belgian firm's operating system, and UCB said it will keep about 270 employees, mostly sales and marketing personnel. It will also maintain a plant in Saitama.
