Pharmion (in-licenses hematology and oncology drugs) raised $65mm in a mezzanine financing round led by Nomura International. Return investors Domain Associates, Versant Ventures, Aberdare Ventures, Abingworth Management, and members of Pharmion's management also participated along with new investors Bay City Capital, New Enterprise Associates, ProQuest Investments, NeoMed Management, Invemed Fund, HealthCap, Merlin BioMed, and Montagu Newhall.
