Executive Summary
Cooper Companies' women's health care division, CooperSurgical, has acquired the bone densitometry business of Norland Medical Systems (develops bone density diagnostic systems) for a maximum of $12mm. Cooper will pay Norland $5mm up front, plus earnouts on the sales of certain products over the next 3 years. Norland will also assume certain Cooper liabilities.
