Executive Summary
Teijin is spinning off its core medical/pharmaceutical business that Kyorin Pharmaceutical will integrate into its own operations. The transaction will leave Teijin holding more than 50% of Kyorin, which will retain its name and its listing on the Tokyo stock exchange. Kyorin's current president, Ikuo Ogihara, will serve in the same capacity at the newly formed company.
