Executive Summary
NuVasive (minimally invasive spinal surgery devices) has acquired the intellectual property, associated assets, and $1mm in inventory related to its SmartPlate cervical plate technology from RSB Spine LLC (spine technology). The purchase price is $9.2mm--$5.5mm in cash and 223k NuVasive shares, which are valued at about $3.7mm.
