Executive Summary
Applera's publicly traded divisions Celera Genomics (CG) and Applied Biosystems (AB) have decided to fold their joint venture, Celera Diagnostics (CD), which was formed in 2001 to discover and develop gene- and protein-based tests. CG has bought out AB's 50% interest for $30mm in cash.
