Executive Summary
Orthopedics device company Amedica grossed $16.8mm with a Series C private placement of preferred shares. The company plans to use some of the funding to launch its first products--including the Arx Ceramic Spinal Spacer System--later this year and to continue developing its pipeline and expand its manufacturing facilities. Proceeds should last Amedica through 2007. Creation Capital acted as the placement agent.
