Executive Summary
Sanofi Pasteur, the vaccines unit of Sanofi Aventis, has agreed to work with Acambis PLC on the development and marketing of Acambis's ChimeriVax vaccine candidate for West Nile virus. There is currently no approved preventative for the virus, which has caused over a thousand deaths since 1999.
