
MAKO, Stanmore settle robotics patent infringement
Executive Summary
Orthopedic device firms MAKO Surgical Corp. and Stanmore Implants Worldwide Ltd. have settled patent infringement litigation pertaining to Stanmore’s sculptor robotic guidance arm business. Under the settlement, MAKO will pay cash to acquire Stanmore’s intellectual property and assets of its robotic business, and Stanmore has agreed to no longer participate in the robotics industry.
