Executive Summary
In an effort to expand its medicines and personal care offerings, Reckitt Benckiser PLC (household and health products) has agreed to acquire consumer health care company SSL International PLC for £2.54bn ($3.9bn) in cash. Shareholders will receive 1,163p per share (a 32% premium), plus an 8p dividend, for an aggregate of 1,171p.
