Executive Summary
Following the news earlier this month of its testing in porcine hearts (see Clinica No 1267, p 18), Sutura's SuperStitch EL minimally-invasive suturing device has been used for the first time in a human patient. The device delivered a suture to the septum that separates the left and right atria of the heart, to close a patent foramen ovale (PFO).
