Amanda also writes trends pieces for Informa’s IN VIVO and START-UP publications, and contributes to Informa’s Strategic Transactions deals database, researching and writing analyses on individual biopharma and medtech transactions. Before joining Informa, Amanda spent five years at Purdue Pharma, working as a market research analyst and information searcher. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry-Business from the University of Scranton, and a Master of Science in Library & Information Science from Long Island University.

Karen has 17 years' experience in the pharmaceutical world. She qualified as a pharmacist in South Africa where she worked in retail and hospital settings before relocating to the UK in 2002. After some months in hospital pharmacy Karen entered the world of business information via IMS Health (now Quintiles IMS), analyzing patent expiries and generic drug launches in 26 major and emerging markets. Karen joined Informa in 2009, leading a team of analysts publishing Strategic reports covering numerous aspects of the Pharma and Medtech industries. She has successfully contributed to the Pharma Intelligence division in a number of roles, and is currently Head of In Vivo – a publication with a 35-year history of providing best in class strategic insight to C-suite executives.
