Alliance Medical steps up to fill gap in NHS imaging service

The UK NHS has commissioned the diagnostics services provider, Alliance Medical, to provide an extra 131,000 MRI scans per year in the UK from a dozen mobile units. This will increase the UK's imaging capacity by 15%, and is seen by the government as a way of cutting the long waits for scans experienced in some parts of the country.
