Grupo Grifols, a plasma fractionator in Spain, has acquired a two-thirds interest in US company Alpha Therapeutic's subsidiaries in Italy and the UK. Both subsidiaries have distributed Alpha's plasma products. Grupo Grifols, which also sells hospital solutions and diagnostic reagents, will develop its manufacturing capabilities and obtain products licences through the acquisition.
