Executive Summary
HHS IG SURVEY OF STATE BOARDS OF PHARMACY TO ISSUE BY EARLY FALL will examine state-level oversight of the pharmacy counseling provisions included in the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1990, HHS Office of the Inspector General's Mary Beth Clarke told the National Community Pharmacists Association annual legislative conference in Washington, D.C. on May 19. Clarke, the director of the IG's office of evaluations and inspections, indicated that the report is a follow-up to the IG's May 1995 study of OBRA counseling requirements. The survey results are currently in draft form and are circulating within the department for comment.
