P&G's Tambrands purchase: Department of Justice gives go-ahead for Procter & Gamble acquisition of White Plains, N.Y.-based Tambrands following a routine antitrust investigation. P&G also has received antitrust approval from regulatory authorities in Canada, Belgium and New Zealand, the company said. In addition to antitrust clearance, the companies must receive approval from Tambrands stockholders; a shareholder vote has been scheduled for July 2.
