Executive Summary
Personal care division sales increase 4% to $113.1 mil. in fourth quarter, boosted by introduction of new products in Japan and opening of the Malaysian market, direct-seller announces in 1Feb. 4 sales release. For the year, sales in the personal care division declined 4% to $423.7 mil. Consolidated sales for the fourth quarter were $232.6 mil., an increase of 4%, and net income fell 16% to $13.6 mil. For 2001, sales were flat at $885.6 mil, while net income plummeted 18.5% to $50.3 mil. largely due to weakening of the Japanese yen, Nu Skin said.
