Executive Summary
The European Commission releases an "easy to read" summary of its opinion on hydrogen peroxide in tooth whitening products April 4. Issued by the Scientific Committee on Consumer Products in 2005, the opinion ruled that tooth whitening products containing hydrogen peroxide in concentrations up to 6% are not safe for over the counter use (1"The Rose Sheet" March 28, 2005, p. 7).
