Local pharmaceutical manufacturers' sales in Ukraine grew by more than 44% to Hr5.6 billion ($695.5 million) last year compared with 2008, according to the country's statistics committee. Their exports increased by 46% to Hr1.2 billion in local currency but fell by around 1% to $150 million when calculated in US dollars.
