Darren Carroll promoted to senior VP at Lilly

Lilly has named current vice-president of corporate business development, Darren J Carroll, senior vice-president of corporate BD. Mr Carroll has been at Lilly for 18-years and was the driver behind the company's Capital Funds Portfolio strategy with several venture capital fund managers, which has led to the creation of 11 new companies so far, including Artaeus, which Lilly acquired in January 2014. He will report to Derica Rice, Lilly's executive vice-president of global services and CFO.
