Effective 3 January 2011, David Empey becomes director of regulatory compliance for US pain management specialist Zynex1. Mr Empey will focus on helping the firm obtain FDA approvals for its technology as well as additional state and federal licences. Lone Tree, Colorado-based Zynex has two subsidiaries – Zynex Monitoring Solutions and Zynex NeuroDiagnostic – that are currently seeking regulatory approval for products. The firm's third subsidiary, Zynex Medical, has a full range of electrotherapy products already commercially available. Mr Empey has more than 25 years of healthcare-related experience; most recently he was vice-president of operations and compliance for healthcare equipment provider Premier Medical.
