Executive Summary
Focusing mainly on its drug distribution business, Bergen Brunswig will divest its specialty pharmacy unit, Stadtlander Pharmacy, to CVS Corp.'s ProCare Pharmacy division in a cash transaction valued at $125mm. As part of the deal, BB will also provide ProCare with $2.5bn worth of pharmaceuticals over a five-year period through its Bergen Brunswig Drug Co. subsidiary.
