For AmeriNet, A New Way to Work With Suppliers

Executive Summary

For years, virtually alone among the leading hospital groups, AmeriNet Inc. has preserved an almost sacred neutrality when it comes to product suppliers. AmeriNet has focused on dual-source contracts with branded suppliers. Promoting the merits of choice, voice, and value, the group has built supplier relationships almost exclusively through its contracting arm, careful always to make certain that its diverse hospital and alternate-site membership had access through its contracts to the leading brand name suppliers. But now, AmeriNet is venturing beyond these kinds of programs into a new form of supplier relationship. AmeriNet has agreed to work with Masimo Corp. which has been a long-timer supplier of OEM products to other device companies, to promote an innovative new pulse oximetry technology to AmeriNet members and supply partners.
